Boxing Classes:

Boxing is an extremely complex sport and requires dedication and commitment to excel. These classes are designed as an introduction to boxing as well as refining basic technique. It is a very popular class in Fight Club for all skill levels purely due to the high intense workout and knowledge provided by our World class fighter, Pradeep Singh. As such, there is always something to learn and areas where basics can be refined.

 

The demands of boxing require good co-ordination and a strong, stable base to be effective on both pads and during sparring. Beginner classes are designed around this principle and teach students how to correctly throw different types of punches and put them in realistic boxing combinations. Foot work is also highly emphasised as boxing is a moving sport, requiring individuals to be capable of moving around a ring whilst still being evasive and having the ability to generate power and speed with every technique thrown. As power is generated from the floor, transferred through the body to the glove, large periods of time in each class is taken to ensure students understand this concept and apply it to combinations. This is tested through drill work and the ability to create angles against a partner whilst still being effective with techniques.

 

This class structure ensures that no matter what a students goal is, wether it be just to get fit, they are learning the correct techniques of boxing and getting the most out of their training. Combined with the strength and conditioning components added to each class, it is a class that is relevant to any student, no matter what your level.
