Intermediate Classes:
Instructor: Pradeep Singh
These classes are designed for members who are looking at developing their practical skills in boxing. Where the beginner classes focused on developing good technique and a strong foundation in boxing, their application in a sparring sense is further developed during this class. As such, light sparring is the prime focus of this class which requires students to have a good understanding of their basics. As such, it is recommended that new members do not attend this class until they feel comfortable, usually a few weeks.
The core focus of this class is moving away from striking pads and to hitting another boxer. This of course changes the dynamic completely where a good sense of co-ordination and foot work is required. The combinations learnt in the beginner classes are applied in this context where students are educated on how to set punches up and use a balance of speed and power.
Although sparring is the prime focus of this class and teaching students how to be effective during, fighting in events is not the only outcome. Many students who partake in this class simply wish to enhance their boxing skills and have no intention of fighting. For those who do wish to compete, Fight Club regularly hosts amateur events.
