Kickboxing/Muaythai Intermediate Classes:
Instructor: Pedrag Galic
These classes are recommended for students who are looking to take their training to the next level. It is advised that beginners do not enter this class purely because it is focused greatly on light sparring and advanced techniques. For this reason, students require a basic understanding of techniques before their application in a practical sense can occur.
The sparring is what really sets this class apart from the beginner classes hence, the intermediate classes are excellent for those looking to take their training to the next level. It really shapes our members and pushes them to greatly improve their fitness and technical skills. They also give members a chance to train for fights in amateur events which Fight Club holds every one to two months.
Although the structure of these classes is focused more on the practical aspect of Kickboxing/Muay Thai, this does not mean that heavy contact is involved. Light sparring is encouraged by the club as this gives students the opportunity to experiment with techniques and combinations without the fear of walking away injured. The classes will include, but not be limited to; warm-ups, dynamic stretches (a form of stretching that involves moving parts of your body and gradually increasing reach, speed of movement, or both), advanced technique practice, round robin sparring and fight specific drills.
