JUNIOR
KARATE GRADINGS
Children aged 8 to 12 years, wearing the traditional white uniform, are eligible to participate in this grading.
The grading is conducted under the guidance of Hanshi George Kolovos, 7th Dan, Representative of Kyokushin Karate Union Japan. It is officially authorised by Japan and recognised worldwide.
Gradings are held every 15–16 weeks and serve as an important milestone in a child’s martial arts journey, allowing them to assess their progress and development. Participation is recommended for students from Yellow Belt (6th Kyu), where children begin training alongside adults. From Green Belt (4th Kyu), students progress into the Senior Grading.
To be eligible, children are required to have completed approximately 25–30 classes since their previous grading. Each grading runs for approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, testing the student’s technique, discipline, and endurance.
Through consistent training and dedication, each child works towards achieving key milestones on their journey to earning a Kyokushin Karate Black Belt.
