BOXING CLASSES

Fight Club Melbourne can teach you the best boxing techniques AND help you reach your fitness goals! As you train, you will notice your arms and core becoming toned and stronger. Our boxing classes are practical and focused on beginners. We will start you on pad work and teach you the best way to slip, weave, block and punch correctly.

We are all about teaching practical boxing with correct technique. Our aim is to help you understand the importance of footwork while also showing you how to rotate and move your body to generate the most power. There are many things to be learnt from boxing, you just need the courage to start!

HOW DO I START?

Book yourself in for an Introductory Personal Training (PT) session with one of our master trainers! We will spend the 45-minute session getting you prepared for your first class.

We will teach you how to execute the correct basic technique and help you feel comfortable before attending your first class!

BEGINNERS CLASSES

 

Our beginner classes are designed for people to start from zero or minimal experience and grow into a strong capable fighter. Our instructors are here to help you understand, achieve and develop your technique through regular classes.

There is no contact sparring in the beginner’s classes so you can be reassured that you will be learning in a safe and supportive environment! Our coaches are some of Melbourne’s most experienced and they will teach you footwork, how to punch and how to evade and attack your opponents.

INTERMEDIATE CLASSES

As your confidence develops, you will be encouraged to join our intermediate classes!

During this class, we run practical drills while working with a partner. Contact is kept at a minimum as we focus on ensuring you have a greater understanding of the practical motions and techniques. At the end of class, we will usually finish with some light sparring to encourage you to adapt to fighting an opponent.

In our intermediate classes, the focus is on the more technical aspects of boxing. We utilize drills focused on footwork, defending against opponents and applying pressure in a real life context without pads.

FIGHTERS CLASSES

On Friday evenings we invite professional and amateur boxers from all around to come together and spar each other to help develop a better understanding of practical boxing. The fighters with more experience are also able to work with you to help you develop your own understanding and techniques. Each fighter is matched based on their weight and skill level to remove the risk of injury. It is always an exciting night and we encourage trained boxers to participate.
